Subject: Authorization to contract and purchase ESRI GIS software.
Background Summary:
The City needs to purchase additional software to support the expansion of its Geographic Information Systems.
(GIS). To maintain compatibility with the Orange County Property Appraiser's office and the City's existing GIS, '
we must purchase GIS software made by Environmental Systems Research Institute, Inc (ESRI). A total of
$34,000 was budgeted for this fiscal year for such software and quotes from six vendors were received with the
lowest total cost provided by MapLogic Corp for $26,770..
Issue:
In order to expand the use of GIS to include public access to the cemetery information, staff training, and
increase efficiencies from enabling access to GIS data for all departments; the City must purchase additional
ESRI software licenses.
Recommendations
Staff respectfully recommends approval for the signing and execution of all pertinent contracts for the purchase
of ESRI software not to exceed $34,000 from MapLogic Corporation.

Subject: RE: ESRI Software
Brian,
I had left a message for ESRI Charlotte regading licensing vefore we spoke. They called me and left a message. Apparently I
made a mistake in my quote. The additional CPU cost is for a single CPU so there would be two units that must be purchased
to enable a total of four cores. I apologize for the mix up but I know you appreciate how fuzzy some of this is. I have attached
a revised quote and will get back to you on the other questions as soon as I get an answer.
Thank you.
