Background Summary:
HHI was hired by the City more than a year ago to work on the development of a CRA for the SR 50 corridor.
Because there have been two changes in city management during that time and many additional meetings and
work products associated with the CRA project, HHI is requesting additional payment beyond the original contract.
Issue:
An additional $9,000 for work done beyond the original scope of services for the CRA project.
Recommendations
Staff respectfully recommends approval of $9,000 to HHI. Funds are available to be transferred from Contingency
to 001-516-00-3400 for this purpose.

ISSUE

Dear Janet:
As per the City's request, the HHI team has rendered additional services of attending extra
meetings and preparing for the negotiation process in the delegation of redevelopment powers
with Orange County. I am requesting compensation in the amount not to exceed $9,000 to
complete the additional tasks stated above. As you know our team has already attended 3
additional meetings with City staff including two with Orange County representatives. Last week
our team also attended a meeting/workshop with City Staff and Orange County to discuss the
draft delegation terms and conditions. In addition, we have also prepared a CRA Summary
Booklet for the negotiation process.
The following outlines the services for this amount.
1. Participation in three (3) meetings/workshops for the delegation of redevelopment powers
2. Preparation of a CRA Summary Booklet
Deliverables
In addition to the 20 sets of the Final Community Redevelopment Plan already mentioned in the
previous City of Ocoee Community Redevelopment Scope of Services (HHI Project # 2405)
contract, HHI transmitted 7 copies of the Findings and Plan to the County for the negotiation
process. We also printed the necessary color copies and handouts of the CRA Summary
Booklet for the initial 2 additional meetings. In addition to the final deliverables, HHI will provide
the City with a CD containing the Final Redevelopment Plan and all relevant files.
Total Additional Amount Requested
HHI requests a total amount not to exceed $9,000 (nine thousand) for additional services to
cover expenses for attending additional meetings for the CRA delegation of redevelopment
powers and the preparation of the CRA Summary Booklet.

The HHI team is committed to the City of Ocoee's efforts in redeveloping the SR 50 Corridor.
Our team is moving forward with the necessary preparations and coordination to ensure the
successful completion of this project. We request that the City approve the funds to cover HHI's
additional services and expenses.
