CITY OF OCOEE PAUL W.FOSTER v 150 N.LAKESHORE DRIVESCOTT A.GLASS (%' 4.: OCOEE,FLORIDA 34761-2258 JIM GLEASON yJ, , (407)656 2322 CITY MANAGER f'p Of GOOD ELLIS SHAPIRO MEMORANDUM TO: The Honorable Mayor and Board of City Commissioners FROM: Ellis Shapiro, City Manager DATE: September 15, 1995 RE: ABOVE-GROUND TANKS - EMERGENCY GENERATOR During Hurricane Erin, it was discovered that no manual override for emergency dispensing had been included in the installation of the above-ground tanks. No fuel was therefore available when electrical power was lost. With the continued threat of other hurricanes in this extremely active year an emergency purchase order (#8150) was issued to Orange Electric Co., Inc. in the amount of$8,500 for the electrical work to connect the tanks to the generator. All other power work was accomplished with City staff; the generator was already City property. The monies were available through various transfers. Since the Commission had denied the purchase of the street sweeper, $7,500 was available from 001-541-6401. This redesignation of Capital to Contractual Services requires Commission Action. The emergency conditions remain critical, I indicated to the Commission at the last meeting that this work had begun. At this juncture, I am requesting the redesignation of Capital so that all the paperwork may be completed. Respectfully Submitted, pL (A
