This was submitted as a means to save on energy costs. The Committee decided to award $100 to Mr. Bostic for his innovative idea. This decision was challenged by another Utility Department employee on the grounds that the basic idea had been put forth by others prior to Mr. Bostic. This was investigated and it was determined that Mr. Bostic was the first to fully address all of the plant operation issues attendant with the installation of photocells. The Innovative Idea Committee met again on August 24, 1998 and based on the results of the above investigation, a majority of the Committee voted to affirm the earlier award of$100 to Mr. Bostic for his innovative idea. I recommend that the City Commission authorize payment of $100 to John Bostic for his innovative idea. Respectfully submitted, ES:jg /► Attachment To: Robert Re: Innovative Idea The information submitted to me by John Bostic did not give me enough information to submit this to the City Manager for consideration as an innovative Idea.
