We have made contributions to this organization since 1996. Since it is the end of our budget year and there are no funds available in the City's line account, I am asking whether you wish for us to contribute towards this event and if so, to request that the money come out of the contingency which has a current balance of $79,858.00. This year,we very excited about working with you and holding our event at the City of Ocoee's Founder's Day: Each year we request a donation from the City of Ocoee. In 1996,you sponsored our event in the amount of$500 and last yearyou doubled your sponsorship in the amount of $1,000. The sponsorship proceeds are used to purchase bicycle helmets which are distributed free of charge to the children of Ocoee. To date, we have distributed over 600 helmets. Thanks to your sponsorship and commitment to our event,we have been extremely successful. Last year,.Orange County recognized our Club for its efforts by awarding us the Children Must Count Award. This year we are setting our goals high. We are hoping to double the amount we raised last year. We hope that the City of Ocoee will continue to sponsor our event and we challenge you to help us double our goal by doubling your commitment to $2,000.
