BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION In order to temporarily close a public street, the approval of the Honorable Mayor and Board of City Commissioners is required. Ms. Carol D'Argenio has made application to the City for a Special Events Permit for a neighborhood barbecue for homeowners on Quiet Waters Loop only that would require the temporary closing of a City owned street. The event will be held on June 13, 1998 from noon until 11 pm with a requested rain date of June 14, 1998. The street to be closed is Quiet Waters Loop which is an interior street in the Cross Creek Subdivision. See attached location map. STAFF RECOMMENDATION The Staff respectfully recommends approval with the following requirements: 1) Road blocking must be done with proper barricades; 2) An emergency lane must be maintained during the time the barbecue has the street blocked; and, 3) All residents that will be effected by the road blockage must be notified in advance. 045(41 "CENTER OF GOOD LIVING-PRIDE OF WEST ORANGE" MAYOR•COMMISSIONER S.SCOTT VANDERGRIFT OCOee COMMISSIONERS oCITY OF O C O E E DANNY HOWELL { SCOTT ANDERSON a 150 N.
