SCOTT VANDERGRIFT,MAYOR 5 YEARS DAVID KINLER David was hired on June 1, 1993 as a certified wastewater treatment plant operator. On November 16, 1995, David was promoted to the wastewater treatment plant operator.laboratory technician position. David is well liked by co-workers and is always willing to put the extra effort forward to help anyone out. Along with his plaque, David will receive a City watch and a gift certificate for $50.00 to spend at"Sears" in the West Oaks Mall. SERVICE AWARD JUNE 16, 1998 PRESENTED BY: S. SCOTT VANDERGRIFT,MAYOR 5 YEARS CARY E. BERTLING On March 8, 1993 Cary was hired by the City of Ocoee in the Public Works Streets department as a part-time temporary employee. On June 7, 1993 Cary became a full-time employee. On October 1, 1997 he received a re-classification to a Maintenance Worker and on May 6, 1998 Cary was transferred to a Maintenance Worker I position in the Public Works traffic division. Prior to working for the City, Cary was a successful self employed painter but says he prefers working for the City of Ocoee. Along with his plaque, Cary will receive a City of Ocoee watch and a$50.00 gift certificate to spend a"Sears" in the West Oaks Mall. SERVICE AWARD JUNE 16, 1998 PRESENTED BY: S. SCOTT VANDERGRIFT,MAYOR 5 YEARS CATHY SILLS On June 10, 1998, Cathy Sills began working for the City of Ocoee Finance department as a Customer Service Clerk I. On March 11, 1996 Cathy was re-classified to the position of a Customer Service Clerk II. On March 7, 1997 Cathy received a promotion to a Customer Service Supervisor. Cathy is very personable and makes everyone that comes to the counter to pay a utility bill feel as though they are the most important person in the City. She is also known for baking all kinds of cakes a pies for City Hall employees. Along with her plaque, Cathy will receive a City of Ocoee watch and a$50.00 gift certificate to spend a"Kirklands" in the West Oaks Mall. SERVICE AWARD JUNE 16, 1998 PRESENTED BY: S. SCOTT VANDERGRIFT,MAYOR 5 YEARS JOYCE E. STAUB On July 8, 1993 Joyce was hired by the City of Ocoee Police Department as a Communications Operator I in the Police Dispatch center. After working diligently through the years Joyce received a promotion on October 23, 1997 to the position of Communications Supervisor. Joyce thoroughly enjoys working in Police services. Along with her plaque, Joyce will receive a$50.00 gift certificate to spend at the "Garden Botanika" in the West Oaks Mall. SERVICE AWARD JUNE 16, 1998 PRESENTED BY: S. SCOTT VANDERGRIFT,MAYOR 10 YEARS JEFFREY D. DYER On June 6, 1988 Jeff was hired by the City of Ocoee Police Department as a Police Officer. Jeff spent all his time as a Police Officer until November 18, 1996 when he decided that he might want a career change. He transferred over to the Building Department as a Code Enforcement Officer. After a year in the Building Department, he realized that he missed Police work. On October 1, 1997,he transferred back to the Police Department as a Police Officer. He simply enjoys Police work. Along with his plaque, Jeff will receive a$100.00 gift certificate to spend at"Sears"in the West Oaks Mall.
