This restroom is mounted on tandem axles, 30' long, 12' wide and portable. It was originally intended to be an onsite temporary mens restroom for O.U.C. until a permanent facility was completed. Its overall appearance is that of a mobile home but half the length. Now that their project is completed this restroom facility has been made available to us for transport cost only. This cost is unknown at this time but not expected to be more than $1,000 and should be delivered within the next two weeks. I had originally intended to park this restroom at the Public Works compound and remodel it for future use either by us or the Parks Department. In my discussions with Mr. Jim Beech, Recreation Director, it was determined that it may be of use at the Lake front. The cost of remodeling is estimated at $3,000 for materials and fixtures to make it suitable for two A.D.A.compatible facilities. The cost of utilities (sanitary, electric and water), landscaping, irrigation, sidewalk and concrete slab will be approximately $7,000. We will be required to install a pump to connect with the septic tank at the Community Center at an additional contracted cost of$2,000. Once in place we will install a plastic lattice skirt and shrubbery around the trailer to decorate the exterior. Most of the remodeling work with the exception of the Sanitary and electric can be done by City staff We expect the total cost of this facility will be less than the appropriated $19,000. When completed we feel this temporary facility will be aesthetically compatible with the lakefront until such time as a permanent facility is built. I hope this information meets with your approval and we respectfully await your direction. /Rc cc: Ellis Shapiro, City Manager Jim Beech, Recreation Director
