City Engineer/Utilities Director SUBJECT: Presentation Regarding Drainage Basin Studies Attached for your review are copies of letters received from Professional Engineering Consultants, Inc. (PEC)transmitting final submittals for two of the drainage basin studies that have been authorized. Each of you has been provided with a copy of the three volumes which comprise each report. The Spring Lake/Lake Johio basin study, and the Starke Lake/Lake Olympia basin study have both been completed, and final reports have been delivered to the City. In the final reports, PEC has analyzed the conditions within each basin, identified problem areas, and has developed a recommended program of capital improvements to correct the various deficiencies. to PEC PEC will discuss each of these studies at the City Commission meeting on April z', 1996, and will answer any questions you might have. February 21, 1996 0E-188 1-1.0 Mr. Ellis Shapiro City Manager City of Ocoee 150 North Lakeshore Drive Ocoee, Florida 34761 RE: Spring Lake/Lake Johio Drainage Basin Study "FINAL"Submittal Dear Mr. Shapiro: It is with great pleasure that PEC/Professional Engineering Consultants is able to transmit with this letter the "FINAL"Engineering Report for the aforementioned project. As part of this "FINAL"submittal, please find enclosed the following documents: • Volume I (Introduction, Existing Conditions, Recommended improvements, Capital Improvement Program, and Water Budget Analysis); and • Volume II (Valence, adICPR analysis, Project Survey, Supporting Documentation, and Project Correspondence). It is recommended that PEC/Professional Engineering Consultants "update/amend" the existing conditions computer model contained within this basin study, based on any proposed development submitted to the City of Ocoee Engineering Department for review and approval (e.g., Spring Lake Oaks and/or Lake Johio Shores Subdivision). Updating/amending of this master analysis will better determine the impact of the proposed development on the Basin as a whole, and will utilize the most accurate and up to date information currently available for this area. Per your direction, we have not transmitted copies of the "FINAL"Engineering Report to City Commissioners at this time, and will wait for your instruction as to how copies will be provided in the near future.
