SERVICE AWARD FEBRUARY 15, 2000 PRESENTED BY: S. SCOTT VANDERGRIFT, MAYOR 5 YEARS DENVER MUSIC Denver started with the City of Ocoee Recreation Department as a part-time Recreation Leader on January 6, 1995. He was transferred over to the Facilities Maintenance Department as a Maintenance Worker II on February 22, 1995. On October 26, 1995, Denver was promoted to Carpenter. On October 1, 1997, Denver was promoted to Facilities Maintenance Supervisor. Denver and his crew are responsible for maintaining all City buildings. He is most known for his gift of gab and the many philosophical discussions one can get into with him. Along with his plaque, Denver will receive a City Watch and a$50.00 gift certificate to spend at the West Oaks Mall. SERVICE AWARD FEBRUARY 15, 2000 PRESENTED BY: S. SCOTT VANDERGRIFT, MAYOR 10 YEARS EDDIE HENDRIX On March 6, 1990 Eddie Hendrix began with the City of Ocoee titled under Building Inspector but was our Electrical Inspector along with inspecting other areas of the City. On October 1, 1990 he received a title change to Electrical Building Inspector and on October 1, 1991 he received a title change again to Municipal Inspector with the emphasis on Electrical. No one in the City gets electricity unless Eddie gives his okay. Eddie is serious about his job and is also a fun loving guy. When you talk to Eddie he always has a positive attitude and will discuss various subjects with you. Along with his plaque, Eddie will receive a$100.00 gift certificate to spend at Dillards on his wife. SERVICE AWARD FEBRUARY 15, 2000 PRESENTED BY: S. SCOTT VANDERGRIFT, MAYOR 10 YEARS TED MOORE Ted Moore began working for the City of Ocoee on February 19, 1990 as a Utility Construction Inspector where he has remained since. Ted is the guy that goes to construction sites and keeps contractors on their toes. Ted collects antique clocks and when he gets ready to retire he is thinking of going into antique clock repairs. Along with his plaque, Ted will receive a gift certificate in the amount of$100.00 to spend at the West Oaks Mall. SERVICE AWARD FEBRUARY 15,2000 PRESENTED BY: S. SCOTT VANDERGRIFT, MAYOR 10 YEARS JIM WASHINGTON Jim Washington began with the City of Ocoee as a Building Inspector on February 26, 1990. On June 1, 1990, Jim was promoted to the position of Chief Building Inspector. Through his career in the Building Department, Jim received many title changes as follows: Plans Examiner on October 1, 1991; a re-classification to a Senior Plans Examiner on October 1, 1996; a re-classification to an Assistant Building and Zoning Official on October 1, 1997 where he remains to this date. Jim has worked on receiving many certifications in his field. We think he holds the record for certifications in this City. Along with his plaque, Jim will receive a$100.00 gift certificate to spend at the West Oaks Mall. SERVICE AWARD FEBRUARY 15, 2000 PRESENTED BY: S. SCOTT VANDERGRIFT, MAYOR 15 YEARS MARK BROWNOLD On February 18, 1985 Mark Brownold began with the City of Ocoee as a Water Technician. On December 4, 1986 he was promoted to Water Treatment Operator C. On June 1, 1990 Mark was promoted to a highly specialized field as a Backflow Prevention Technician within the Utilities Department where he remains to this date. On October 1, 1991 Mark became a reserve Firefighter with the Fire Department through May 11, 1992. Mark is known for his great personality and very recently became an honorary H R Specialist for our Human Resources Department. Along with his plaque, Mark will receive a $150.00 gift certificate to spend at the West Oaks Mall.
