The Troop is seeking a $200 grant to help pay for a summer trip to St. Augustine. I have asked Troop Leader Lisa Lightsey to attend the City Commission meeting to answer any questions you may have. For your information, there is currently $7,470.71 in your community promotions account. L/ 3 GIRL SCOUT TROOP 1626 City of Ocoee Ocoee,Florida 34761 Dear City of Ocoee: We the leaders of Girl Scout Troop 1626 would like to make a request for _ sponsoring our girls for their summer trip. We-are-looking forward to taking our girls to St.Augustine,Florida for a week. They are looking forward to exploring their heretiage. They will get to discover the Old Fort,how the soldiers lived and worshiped. The history of the town. They will also get to see the oldest School House. We the leaders would feel this would be a great learning experience for the girls. The expense of this trip will be great. We the leaders of Girl Scout Troop 1626, are asking you for your sponsorship to help the girls achieve their goals. The cost per girl will be$200.00. A lot of the girls come from low income families, and would have a hard time meeting this amount. We have pledged to never leave a giriscout behind.It would be greatly appreciated if you could help our girls meet this goal. These trips create and maintain a high level of interest and involvement in a most fulfilling youth organization dedicated to traditional values. We are asking a few small business's to help sponsor one or more of our girls. In making a donation, you can help make the girls summer trip a most memorable one. Please let us know by June 1,2000.
