Subject: Cambridge Village PUD
Dear Russ:
I am writing this letter on behalf of Mr. Joseph Worsham, property owner and Mr. Dick
Wark, developer of the referenced project
On March 7, 2000, the City Commission approved the annexation, rezoning and
development agreement for the subject project The rezoning was approved by the
Commission at this meeting with the condition of 60 foot lots in lieu of the requested 50 foot
lots. Also, the condition was to provide a 6 foot high brick wall along the south and west
property lines of the subject property. To redesign the subdivision to 60 foot lots would
mean the loss of approximately 4 lots, or a total of 30 lots in lieu of the requested 34 lots.
The loss of the 4 lots and construction of approximately 1200 lineal feet of brick wall would
make this project unfeasible to develop. I am also requesting that the Commission revise the
condition of approval to allow lotting of the existing 25 foot right of way along the
southerly property line,if the City Commission approves the vacating of the right of way.
I am respectfully requesting that we be placed on the March 21, 2000, City Commission
agenda for the Commissioners reconsideration of the 60 foot lots to 50 foot lot sizes and
amendment to the condition of approval to allow lotting of the southerly right of way.
