Per Exhibit 'A' section 1, item #4 of the City of Ocoee/Gee& Jenson Agreement (3/19/96), Gee& Jenson is currently under contract to provide complete architectural/engineering services to the reconstruction project. Under the provisions of this agreement, the City would just need to authorize a Work Order#3 to the agreement. The Mayor and Board of City Commissioners have approved the amount of$40,000 in Capital Improvement Funds to be budgeted for this project. A fee proposal cost of$8,330 for architectural, electrical, and mechanical construction documents from Gee& Jenson subtracted from 40K leaves a balance of$31,670 funds available. In reference to Attachment 'A' the work of major importance includes items #1 selective demolition through item #5 repair/replace existing air conditioning. The additive alternate items to be done in house. An estimate of$25,000 for the air conditioning work on the building leaves a remaining balance of$6,670 funds available to finish the project. This would include the new lights and closing in the garage doors. Some additional funds may be needed from contingency, subject to the results of the bid. 1 respectfully request your approval to have the Mayor and City Clerk sign the proposed Work Order#3 giving Gee& Jenson directions to move forward on the construction documents so that the project can be released for Bidding to Design Build Firms.
