WHEREAS, health problems can present significant barriers that keep our citizens from
enjoying full participation in the benefits of our society: and
WHEREAS. Occupational Therapists and Occupational Therapy Assistants apply their
professional education and expertise to aiding those with disabilities in
overcoming functional limitations by adapting the environments. simplyine tasks,
and providing specialized equipment: and
WHEREAS. Occupational Therapy personnel recognize and honor each individual's cultural
and personal values in developing and working toward a mutual concept of health:
and
WHEREAS. Occupational Therapists and Occupational Therapy Assistants are valued members
of the health-care community in our state and the City of Ocoee: and
WHEREAS. The American Occupational Therapy Association has set aside the month of Apnl
to communicate to all the important contribution members of the Occupational
Therapy profession can make to the health. productivity, and personal satisfaction
of our citizens.
