20 YEARS LEONARD P.DOTY
On April 1, 1984, Leonard Doty, who likes to be called"Red", was hired by the City of
Ocoee Sanitation department as a Driver. In those days the trucks were in pretty bad
shape. Some days went along and we were not even sure if we would have a truck that
would even run. Red always hung in there and never missed a beat. The trash and
garbage got picked up one way or another. On October 1, 1991, Red became a Sanitation
Driver II. He is a remarkable person,he has watched people in the Sanitation department
come and go but he always showed up for work and never missed much time. He sets a
good example for those new employees that come along.
Along with his plaque, Red will receive a$250.00 gift certificate to spend at"Sears"in
the West Oaks Mall. Red will also receive a Case-X-Changer knife along with a Two
Tone Belt Buckle.
