III. CONSENT AGENDA
All matters listed under the Consent Agenda are considered to be routine by the Ocoee City Commission and will be
acted upon by one motion. There will be no separate discussion of these items unless discussion is desired by a
member of the Commission, in which case the Mayor will instruct the City Clerk to remove that item from the
Consent Agenda and such item will be considered separately.
A. Approval and Acceptance of Minutes of City Commission Regular Meeting of March 3, 1998
and Canvassing Board Meeting of March 11, 1998. For information only the Minutes of the
Forum for Construction Concerns of November 12, 1997 and March 5, 1998. (CITY CLERK
GRAFTON)
B. Approval and Authorization to Extend Certain Deadlines Related to Resolution No. 97-05,
Vacating and Abandoning a Portion of Palm Drive. (CITY ATTORNEY ROSENTHAL)
• This Resolution was adopted subject to the Expressway Authority signing the Joint
Participation Agreement on or before September 17, 1997. That deadline has been extended
by Commission action three times to give the Authority an opportunity to finalize certain
agreements with Britt Farms. The present extension expires March 23, 1998. Approval of this
item will modify the expiration date to June 19, 1998.
C. Approval of Appointment of Senior Planner Home to Serve as Staff Contact for Census 2000
and Authorization for Mayor to Execute Necessary Documents for Participation in the Local
Update of Census Addresses (LUCA). (SENIOR PLANNERHORNE)
• LUCA replaces the Program for Address Lists (PALS), which is the agency used
previously to compare the U.S. Census Bureau's list of current residential addresses to the
local government's list to determine its accuracy before sending out the census teams.
D. Approval and Authorization for Use of Sworn Personnel to Staff One Position in High Intensity
Drug Trafficking Area Partnership Task Force. (POLICE CHIEF MARK)
• This Task Force will be composed of members from all levels of law enforcement and from
all police entities in this area with a goal of investigating, prosecuting and ultimately
dismantling the organizations operating in drugs in the I-4 Corridor.

E. Approval and Authorization to Set Public Hearing Dates of April 21, 1998 and May 5, 1998
for Evaluation and Appraisal Report (EAR) - Final Transmittal Version. (SENIOR PLANNER
HORNE)
• The Planning and Zoning Commission and EAR advisory group have reviewed the
attached report at several public hearings and recommend approval and transmittal to the
Department of Community Affairs.
