Re: BID #99-03 AIRSHORE RESCUE EQUIPMENT
The Ocoee Fire Department requests to purchase a complete set of Airshore rescue
equipment to be placed into service on the newly purchased heavy rescue truck. The
equipment consists of pneumatic struts and the associated hardware for bracing
unstable structural components to effect a rescue of a trapped individual.
The equipment will be used for rescue work for trapped and entangled victims in
building collapse, vehicle accidents and construction mishaps.
The Ocoee Fire Department recommends that bid # 99-03, from Ten-8 Fire
Equipment Company for $13,177.61 be accepted, and the Airshore rescue equipment
be purchased using Fire Department Impact Fee funds allotted for equipment
purchase for the new rescue truck.
