III (F) Approval and Authorization for Mayor and City Clerk to Execute Final Plat for Remington Oaks Phase I
MEMORANDUM DATE: June 15, 1999 TO: the Honorable Mayor and Board of City Commissioners FROM: Ernie Kovacs, Engineering Aide SUBJECT: Approval of Remington Oaks Phase 1 Subdivision Plat Issue Should the Honorable Mayor and Board of City Commissioners approve the plat as submitted? Background Remington Oaks Phase I is a 77 lot subdivision straddling the north and south sides of Hackney Prairie Road. A major portion of the site work has been completed. The developer has issued a Letter of Credit to the city insuring that all remaining site work shall be completed to the city's satisfaction. The remaining site work that needs to be completed consists of the following: completion of brick wall, landscaping, signage and demolition of existing building. Section 6 of the Annexation and Development Agreement (Bumden Park Phase 11) dated February 4, 1997 as recorded in O.R. Book 5215, Page 4500, Public Records of Orange County, Florida, requires the Developer to dedicate a "continuous greenway, open space and recreation area" to the City. In connection with this Plat, the Developer is conveying Tract A, As shown on the Plat, to the City for this purpose. Recommendation Staff recommends that the Honorable Mayor and Board of City Commissioners approve the plat as submitted.
