This year, as we have grown considerably and expect to have a greater number of voters, we would like to open the Beech Recreation Center for District 1 and District 4, and the Community Center for District 2 and District 3. This would provide a separate polling place for each Commission race: District 1 at Beech Recreation Center and District 3 at the Community Center. I have verified that the buildings can be available on March 13 for the election and April 10 for a run-off election if needed. Notification to the voters of the change in polling place for those in Districts 1 and 4 would be provided through the Supervisor of Elections office, our Web Page, Channel 10, The West Orange Times, and The Orlando Sentinel. For your information, as of December 13, there are the following number of registered voters in the City of Ocoee: District 1 2,096 District 2 3,256 District 3 2,706 District 4 2 815 TOTAL 10,873 Action recommended Staff respectfully recommends approval and authorization to hold the municipal election at two polling places with District 1 and District 4 voting at the Beech Recreation Center and District 2 and District 3 voting at the Community Center.
