The resignation will become effective at the time the officer would take office, if elected, or the date the officer's successor is required to take office. Milton West was unsuccessful in the March 13, 2001, election for District 1 Commissioner and had submitted a resignation letter from Planning and Zoning Commission as required. His resignation will therefore become effective April 17, 2001, when the Commissioner is sworn in. He is willing to be considered for reappointment to Planning and Zoning Commission. Applications submitted by two citizens highly interested in serving on Planning and Zoning Commission are attached.
