Pineloch Street, Orlando, FL 32806 to 302 Maguire Road, Ocoee, FL 34761. BACKGROUND & DISCUSSION: The funding source for this project is from the capital improvement bond. The City Commission approved purchasing this modular building at the May 15, 2001 City Commission meeting. The closing date for the purchase of the modular building is September 17, 2001 and the City must remove the building from Pineloch Street by October 30, 2001. The bid was advertised on September 2, 2001, and publicly opened on September 10, 2001. Responses were received from the following companies: 1) Affordable Structures Inc. $42,750.00 2) Williams Scotsman Inc. $65,720.00 Attached is a copy of the bid from Affordable Structures Inc. along with the bid tabulation sheet. Copies of all bids are available in the Finance Department for your review. The bids were reviewed by the Public Works and Finance Departments. Staff recommends awarding the bid to Affordable Structures Inc. as the most responsive and responsible bidder, per the attached memo from Bob Smith, Public Works Director. STAFF RECOMMENDATION It respectfully is recommended that the City Commission award Bid #01-08 to Affordable Structures Inc. and authorize staff to proceed with the procurement of the modular building, r including obtaining all necessary insurance certificates for this project. c'.
