Re: TRIM TIMETABLE; PROPOSED MILLAGE RATE
The Trim timetable requires us to advise the property Appraiser of the FY 2002 proposed millage
rate by August 4, 2001. The following is submitted to assist you in making your decision:
• The property value increase over last year is$101,674,342.
• One mill generates $1,061,654.
• The rolled-back rate is 4.6718 per $1,000 of taxable value and would generate $4,959,837 in
revenue.
• The current rate of 4.7387 per $1,000 would produce $5,030,862 in revenue. ( This is an
increase of$481,804 over current year revenue)
The millage set by you at this meeting will be sent to all property owners within Ocoee directly
after August 4, 2001. The proposed budget is balanced on a 4.7387 mil tax rate; therefore, I
recommend continuation of the current millage rate.
