BACKGROUND & DISCUSSION: The City was awarded a Boater's Improvement Grant in the amount of $64,000.00 to expand the existing boat trailer parking lot located on Lakeshore Drive. The bid was advertised on January 27, 2002, and publicly opened on February 20, 2002. Responses were received from the following companies: I) American Paving Contractors $44,387.00 2) Schuller Contractors $55,000.00 3) APEC, Inc. $56,643.00 4) Gibbs & Register $61,900.00 5) PLAN Estimating Service $67,392.00 6) Cathcart Contracting $70,200.00 7) Price Construction $73,785.00 8) U.S. Brick & Block Non-Responsive Attached is a copy of the bid from American Paving Contractors along with the bid tabulation sheet. Copies of all bids are available in the Finance Department for your review. The bids were reviewed by the Public Works and Finance Departments.
