Ili. l un I MEMORANDUM To: The Honorable Mayor and City Commissioners From: Jean Grafton, City Clerk Date: March 11, 2003 Re: Appointments to Planning & Zoning Commission (3 year terms) (City residents only) The terms of Members Pat Bond and Darlene Rhodus will end April 2003. Mrs. Bond has served since her appointment as alternate member April 1986 and as full member March 1987. She has attended 26 of 37 meetings during her current term. Mrs. Rhodus has served since her appointment as alternate member November 1989 and as full member March 1992. She has attended 25 of 37 meetings during her current term. Both are willing to serve a new term, should Commission wish to reappoint them. Attached are seven applications indicating interest in serving on Planning and Zoning Commission. For District 2: Brad Friel, Martha Lopez-Anderson, Fred Wilsen, and JoAnne Jensen. For District 4: Dennis Chen, Bradley Campbell, and Michael Barnes. Mr. Wilsen is currently a member on Board of Adjustment, Mr. Chen, the Education Commission, Mr. Campbell, the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board, and Mr. Barnes, the CACOPD. Staff Recommendation Should they wish to do so, staff respectfully recommends that the Honorable Mayor and City Commissioners: 1. Appoint Mrs. Bond, or her successor, for a new three-year term ending April 2006. 2. I have changed employers since my appointment and my new employer will not allow me to attend the day time meetings. So I have no choice but to resign.
