RE: Honorary Lake Ranger Title For Jimmy Hager
ISSUE
As requested at the April 15, 2003 City Commission Meeting, Staff has come up with a plan to
make Jimmy Hager an Honorary Lake Ranger for Starke Lake.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
Staff has come up with idea of having Mr. Hager come to a City commission meeting during
presentations and the Mayor and city Commission could present him with a certificate indicating
he is an Honorary Lake Ranger, and we could also purchase a couple of shirts with the City's Logo
and Title of Honorary Lake Ranger. Mr. Hager would have no enforcement authority from this
Honorary Title. He would notify the Ocoee Police Department or Parks and Recreation
Department if he sees inappropriate behavior occurring on Starke Lake.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the City Commission allow Staff to make arrangements for Mr. Hager to be
at a City Commission Meeting, where he is presented with the certificate and shirts indicating he is
an Honorary Lake Ranger For Starke Lake.
