DATE: June 24, 2004
RE: Villas of Woodsmere Extension, Project# CP-01-01-04
On March 16 2004, the Mayor and City Commissioners approved the Conceptual Plan for the
Villas of Woodsmere. This is the 6.4-acre project located west of Good Homes Road, just south
of Rose Hill, planned for 64 townhouse units. Condition of Approval #2 of that approval
stipulates that a Preliminary Subdivision Plan for the project be submitted within 90 days of the
City Commission action unless the Commission grants an extension.
Per the Attached letter, dated June 7, 2004, the prospective developer of the Villas of
Woodsmere is requesting a 90-day extension for the Conceptual Approval for his project in
order to complete the Preliminary Subdivision Plan.
Staff is confident that this developer is seriously moving forward with this project and
recommends approval of the 90-day extension.

Re: Villas of Woodsmere CP-01-01-04
Dear Mr.Williford:
•
On behalf of my client John F.Ballard,Jr.,Trustee,we request a 90 day extension to the conceptual
approval for the referenced project. Condition No.2 of the approved plan requires submittal of a
Preliminary Subdivision Plan within 90 days of the City Commission approval date. Our client is in
the process of diligently preparing a Preliminary Subdivision Plan and a Final Site Plan for the
referenced project but is requiring additional time to provide a sufficient application. No other
modifications to the approval are anticipated or are requested.
Thank you for your consideration.
Very truly yours,
