The purpose of this board is to promote understanding, respect, goodwill, and equality among all citizens and businesses of the City of Ocoee. Members of the Human Relations Diversity Board serve three-year terms. The term of Member Jay Carr expired May 2021. He has indicated an interest in being considered for reappointment for another term ending May 2024. In 2020, Member Carr attended 5 out of 6 meetings. Additionally, two (2) applications have been received by Annette Brown and Ages Hart who have shown an interest in being appointed to the Human Relations Diversity Board for a term ending May 2024. Issue: Should the Honorable Mayor and City Commissioners consider reappointing Member Carr and appointing Ms. Brown and Mr. Hart with terms ending May 2024. Recommendations: Staff respectfully recommends that the Honorable Mayor and City Commissioners consider the reappointment of Member Carr and the appointments of Ms. Brown and Mr. Hart for a term ending May 2024.
