Subject: Dedication of 2 parcels to Orange, County for the widening of Claracona-Ocoee
Road East of Clarke Road.
Background Summary:
The City of Ocoee is conveying ownership of 2 parcels of land to Orange County in order to
facilitate the widening of Claracona-Ocoee Road east of Clarke Road. The 2 parcels were obtained
as a portion of lands deeded to the City from Cambridge Development as part of the Orchard Park
Development and by Center Lake Properties, L TO as part of the Oak Trail Reserve Development.
The approximate 1.015 acre parcel of land being conveyed to Orange County is part of the land
deeded to the City from Center Lake Properties, LTD. The approximate 0.877 acre parcel of land
being conveyed to Orange County is part of the land deeded to the City from Cambridge
Development. See attached Map
The City agreed to convey the two parcels of land needed for the widening of Claracona-Ocoee
Road from Hiawassee Road to East of Clarke Road in exchange for Orange County advancing the
realignment and widening of West Road from SR 429 to Ocoee-Apopka Road. Orange County
Public Works has received bids for their project and are taking the award to their Board in August.
The construction schedule is to have the road completed by August 1, 2008, prior to school
opening.
Issue:
The Engineering Department requests that the Mayor and City Commission approve conveying two
parcels of land obtained as a portion of land deeded to the City from Cambridge Development and
Center Lake Properties, LTD.
Recommendations
City Staff recommends approves of the conveying of the two parcels to Orange County and
authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to sign the two Quit-Claim Deeds..

THIS QUIT-CLAIM DEED, made and executed this _ day of ,2007,
by the CITY OF OCOEE, a Florida municipal corporation, whose address is 150 North
Lakeshore Drive, Ocoee, Florida 34761 (hereinafter referred to as "Grantor"), in favor of
ORANGE COUNTY, a charter county and political subdivision of the State of Florida, whose
address is P.O. Box 1393, Orlando, Florida 32802-1393 (hereinafter referred to as "Grantee").
(wherever used herein, the terms "Grantor" and "Grantee" shall include all the parties
to this instrument and the heirs, legal representatives and assigns of individuals, and
the successors and assigns of corporations, partnerships (including joint ventures),
public bodies and quasi-public bodies.)
