CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order by Acting Support Services Director Gaines at 6:15 p.m.

-INTRODUCTION OF MEMBERS
Members briefly introduced themselves.
• REVIEW OF BYLAWS
Acting Support Services Director Gaines went over Resolution No. 2023-01 HRDB Bylaws.
Mayor Johnson and Acting Support Services Director Gaines, both clarified that the city
would handle future events and that members are still encouraged to volunteer at events. They
further addressed questions related to civic organizations serving as a liaison (non -voting) as
well as other Board related questions. The Board agreed with the newly established Bylaws
adopted by the Commission.
• ELECTION OF CHAIR AND CHAIR -ELECT
members are present.

• Family Recreation Day — July 22nd
• Hispanic Heritage Month — September
• Ocoee Remembrance Day - November 4th and 5th
• Veteran's Day — November 9th
Penny Walker, Alliance of Truth and Justice, conveyed best wishes and support from the
organization. She further invited everyone to visit the link to the direct page of the ATJ website
where the life stories of the Ocoee Massacre descendants can be viewed.
Gene Mardin, Chase Racial Equity Commitment, focused on closing the racial wealth gap -
'through home ownership, minority owned businesses, and financial help education.
