Under Cost Proposal RFP #24-009. (Public Works Director Krug) Background Summary: The City Commission awarded RFP #24-009, Emergency-Disaster Debris Removal Services, to Ceres Environmental Services, Inc., on August 6, 2024. Following Hurricane Milton passing over Ocoee, the City activated the Ceres contract on October 11, 2024. The attached cost estimate of $541,153.00 to provide the removal services is based on the approved contract and only applies to the Hurricane Milton storm event. Public Works recommends approval of this proposal. Issue: Should the Honorable Mayor and City Commissioners authorize the estimated budget for the Disaster Debris Removal Services with Ceres Environmental Services, Inc.? Recommendations: Staff recommends the Honorable Mayor and City Commissioners authorize the purchase order be issued for the estimated budget for Disaster Debris Removal Services with Ceres Environmental Services, Inc in accordance with RFP #24-009, in the amount of $541,153.00, and authorize the City Manager and Staff to approve change orders to this contract up to the limit of his purchasing authority for each change order, and up to the budgeted amount for this project for all change orders.
