Bluford Avenue Ocoee, Florida November 14, 2024 MINUTES 6:00 PM F, El M r1l PTIN I MOM =*r Chair Legvold called the CACOFD meeting to order at 6:00 PM in the Station 25 Conference Room, located at 563 S. Bluford Avenue. Chair Legvold led the Pledge of Allegiance, followed by a Moment of Silence. Recording Clerk Brown performed roll call and declared a quorum present. Notification of Board Member Resignation Chair Legvold introduced resident James Cummings and invited him to speak. Mr. Cummings introduced himself to the group and expressed interest in joining CACOFD, He was advised to submit an application through the City Clerk's Office. Chair Legvold announced Vice -Chair Kepler's resignation from the board. Deputy Chief Van Camp updated the Board with the following: • Tower Truck personnel have been identified and reassigned to Station 25. The Tower is not yet in service; an SOP policy has been put into place and training is in progress. • The department has three (3) open Firefighter positions. Interviews are scheduled for the week of November 18, 2024 • The Centennial Open House is scheduled for November 8, 2025. • The CACOFD budget of $2,000 is available as of October 1, 2024, Budget expenditures are proposed to be discussed in February. • Orlando Health sponsored Engine 25 to be Wrapped in pink for Breast Cancer Awareness month. • The Fire Explorer program is progressing. An SOP policy and fundamentals have been completed, The program is anticipated to launch in January 2025. • Smoke Detector Blitz has been confirmed for early spring and a target area has been identified. • Introduced new Recording Clerk Brown and shared that Recording Clerk Ferrer is going to Fire Standards school. Ulm compliance information he learned. Chair Legvold announced the next meeting will be held on February 13, 2025, The agenda will 'te established as below: A. Old Business —Approval of Minutes for November 14, 2024 B. New Business C. Department Updates D. Under Construction - City Growth Board Members expressed interest in riding on the float during operation Santa, Deputy Chi Van Camp advised that dates will be emailed to the board.
