Background Summary:
Members of the Ocoee School Advisory Board serve two-year terms. Currently the Ocoee School
Advisory Board has nine (9) members and their resolution allows no less than seven (7) members
and no more than fifteen (15) members. One application was received from Ms. Lisa Wright with
interest in serving on the board.
Issue:
Should the Honorable Mayor and City Commission appoint Lisa Wright to the Ocoee School
Advisory Board with term ending August 2009?
Recommendations
Staff recommends that the City Commission appoint Lisa Wright to the Ocoee School Advisory
Board with term ending August 2009.

I have been a resident of Ocoee since 1992. My experience with the school system includes
participation with SAC. rezoning meeting attendance and my son has been an OCPS student since 2001.
I am an educated businesswoman who is concerned for her community and especially concerned about
the quality of education for our children.
