(Utilities Director Bolling) Background Summary: The City of Ocoee budgets funds annually for the delivery and supply of sodium hypochlorite, which is the disinfectant used for the treatment of both water and wastewater. Odyssey Manufacturing currently supplies the City with sodium hypochlorite under a piggyback contract with the City of Tarpon Springs, which expired on May 26, 2025. Odyssey Manufacturing has agreed to supply sodium hypochlorite to the City under a new piggyback contract with the Clay County Utility Authority. As the City’s main supplier of sodium hypochlorite, Odyssey Manufacturing has proven to be a reliable vendor and has served the City well in both regular and emergency circumstances.
