Subject: Approval of the Utility Easement Agreement for 720 N. Lakewood Ave. (Development
Engineer Keaton)
Background Summary:
The property at 720 N. Lakewood Ave is located in Commission District 3, on the west side of N. Lakewood
Ave, across from the Burnt Tree Neighborhood. The property owner has applied for a lot split to facilitate
further development of the site. As a condition of staff approval for the lot split, the property owner has agreed
to provide a 10-foot front lot utility easement adjacent to N. Lakewood Ave and a 5-foot side lot utility
easement adjacent to Lyman St. The easement will allow the Utilities Department to access, operate, and
maintain existing utilities, as well as to provide access to future water and sewer lines associated with the
upcoming Lakewood Gravity Sewer and Water Main project. Please refer to the attached utility easement
document for additional information.
Issue:
Should the Honorable Mayor and City Commission accept the Utility Easement Agreement as provided by
Armando and Hilda Revocable Trust for the property located at 720 N. Lakewood Ave?
Recommendations:
Staff recommends the Honorable Mayor and City Commission approve and authorize the Mayor to execute
the Utility Easement Agreement for the property located at 720 N. Lakewood Ave.
