Background Summary:
Please find attached a departmental listing of additional items requested to be declared as surplus property.
These items were not included on the original surplus list approved by the City Commission on April 7, 2026;
however, they were transported to Gideon Auctioneers along with the previously approved equipment.
The City is currently under contract with George Gideon Auctioneers, Inc. for the public sale of the City’s
surplus property. Upon approval, these additional items will be incorporated into the current surplus inventory
and posted to Gideon's auction platform.
Issue:
Should the Honorable Mayor and City Commission declare the attached additional items as surplus property
and approve the disposition thereof?
Recommendations:
Staff recommends the Honorable Mayor & City Commission:
1. Declare the additional items listed as surplus property; and
2. Approve George Gideon Auctioneers, Inc. for the public online sale of the additional surplus property.

Financial Impacts:
The auction proceeds received for all items sold will offset any administrative expenses incurred by the city.
Auction proceeds will be deposited back into the respective funds, and the City Commission will be notified of
the final auction proceeds.
