Subject: Approval of New Appointment to the Citizen Advisory Council for Ocoee Fire
Department (CACOFD). (Deputy City Clerk Parks)
Background Summary:
The Citizens Advisory Council for the Ocoee Fire Department (CACOFD) was formed in 2003 to promote and
maintain communication, cooperation, and a positive relationship between the citizens of the City of Ocoee
and the Ocoee Fire Department. Members of the CACOFD serve three-year terms and the Resolution creating
the Board allows no more than nine (9) members; currently, the Board has eight (8) members.
An application has been received from Joseph Obrochta (District 1), who has shown an interest in being
appointed to the CACOFD to serve a three-year term ending November 2029. There are no other applications
on file for this Board.
Issue:
Should the Honorable Mayor and City Commission consider appointing Joseph Obrochta to the CACOFD
Board, to serve a three-year term ending in November 2029?
Recommendations:
Staff recommends that the Honorable Mayor and City Commission consider appointing Joseph Obrochta to
the CACOFD Board, to serve a three-year term ending in November 2029.
