Home My WebLink About07-22-2008 Minutes MINUTES OF THE CITY OF OCOEE CODE ENFORCEMENT BOARD MEETING JULY 22, 2008 CALL TO ORDER Chairman Godek called the regular meeting of the Ocoee Code Enforcement Board to order at 7:01 p.m. in the Commission Chambers at City Hall. Member Lowery led the Invocation and Member Sais led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. The roll was called and a quorum was declared present. PRESENT: Chairman Godek, Members Alexander, Ballard, M. Godek, Lowery, Sais, and Alternate Member Elliott. Also present were Code Enforcement Supervisor Loeffler, Code Enforcement Officer Rodriguez, Code Enforcement Officer Siegrist, Permitting Clerk Everett, and Deputy City Clerk Sibbitt ABSENT: Member Stanley was absent excused. GUESTS: None. Permitting Clerk Everett administered the oath to Code Enforcement Supervisor Loeffler, Code Enforcement Officer Rodriguez, Code Enforcement Officer Siegrist, and anyone intending to speak regarding a case. CONSENT AGENDA ALL MATTERS LISTED UNDER THE CONSENT AGENDA ARE CONSIDERED ROUTINE BY THE CODE ENFORCEMENT BOARD AND WllL BE ACTED UPON BY ONE MOTION. Election of Officers Member Lowery nominated Robert Godek as Chairman; as no other nominations were made, Robert Godek was elected Chairman. Member Lowery nominated Michael Godek as Vice Chair; as no other nominations were made, Michael Godek was elected Vice Chair. COMMENTS Officer Loeffier announced that the record amount of compliances they are having is great and they are also having a lot of success in dealing with the banks on the many foreclosed homes in Ocoee. Officer Siegrist congratulated Officer Loeffler for his 10 year anniversary with the City of Ocoee. Member Alexander congratulated both Robert Godek and Mike Godek for being elected as Chair and Vice Chair. She further stated Randy Chancey will be missed. Member Alexander also wished her husband a "Happy Anniversary". Vice Chair M. Godek thanked the board for electing him as Vice Chair and also announced to the citizens watching that they can go online to e-better place to file complaints. On Carolyn's behalf, he thanked everyone who had extended their sympathy to her and her family.
