is being considered. Mayor then asked to be excused from the meeting and asked
Comm. Hager to chair the meeting in his place.
REVIEW COMPREHENSIVE LAND USE PLAN CHAPTER 10
In reviewing Chapter 10, which deals with Recreation, it was determined that
inventory of parks and fields must be updated.
Mr. Brooklyn pointed out that the developer/contractor should produce a com-
pleted recreational facility and deed it to the city when developing a project.
City Manager Burgess suggested tha~ in order to insure that this is done, it
should be made a part of the approval process.
e
Mr. Smith said that recr~ation should be provided for other than just youth
and suggested facilities for card clubs, shuffleboard and possibly a golf course.
Comm. Hager pointed out the need for more launching ramps at Starke Lake.
City Manager Burgess advised that Recreation Director Beech will also review
Plan and submit recommendations.
REVIEW CHAPTER 11: INTERGOVERNMENTAL COORDINATION
City Manager Burgess advised that the revision of this chapter should be drastic
and futuristic in design. One of the prime considerations should be slowing
down the building permitting process to allow time for study before decisions
are made.
Comm. Hager suggested that City should coordinate with County in projected plans.
City Manager Burgess advised that he has a meeting scheduled with County May 30
to determine a system so that our annexations are properly recorded.
