'9 SPECIAL SESSION OF THE CITY COMMISSION ON APRIL 8, 1986 PRESENT: Mayor Ison, Commissioners Johnson, Rodgers, Bateman and Hager, City Clerk Catron, Interim City Manager Preston. ABSENT: None Mayor Ison called the Special Session to order at 7:00 P.M. REVIEW CITY MANAGER APPLICATIONS AND MAKE SELECTIONS FOR INTERVIEWS Mayor Ison asked the Commissioners to put the applications that they had selected in alphabetical order, then they would each give the list of the ones they had selected. After everyone had given their recommendations, Mayor Ison asked the Commissioners to narrow the field down to approximately 10 applicants. The following applicants were selected to be interviewed: Robert Bullard, Douglas Freeman, R. Lee Gilmour, Joseph King, William T. Powers, A. B. Preston, Teddy Ryan, John Warbington and R. Thomas Worley. Interviews will begin, Saturday, April 12, 1986 at 9 :00 A.M. and the following Saturday, April 19, 1986 at 1:00 P.M.. This will give the out of state people time to make arrangements. After discussion, the Commission agreed to pay coach fare from their City to ours(Orlando) with two days lodging for out of state and one days lodging for in state applicants. For in state applicant, the City will pay 209 per mile/ cheapest way. Commissioner Hager moved to approve the interviews for the nine applicants selected and to pay the coach fare/209 per mile whichever is cheaper, with two nights lodging for out of state and one nights lodging for in state if needed, Commissioner Bateman seconded.
