ABSENT: None DISCUSSION ON CHANGES TO U.S. HOMES, (SILVER GLEN) SITE PLAN City Planner Wagner said the developer had made substantial changes to the site plan after coming before the Commission on Tuesday, October 6, 1981. At that time City Planner Wagner still had seven maJor concerns regarding the proposed development including the need for adequate storm water retention facilities, the need for finding appropriate water mains, and the need for necessary and available sewer capability. e Jim Mehta of U.S. Homes said the developer needed Commission comments before the final engineering design could be completed. Mr. Mehta said by incorporating concerns of the Commission at the last meeting, the company had decreased the amount of lots. He said the retention system could now handle two, 100-year storms within 48 hours, without flooding any residences. City Engineer Kelley said he had received the new plans two days ago, and they moved in the direction of the original conceptual plan the City had previously approved. Mr. Kelley said they had incorporated some of the suggestions the City made. Commissioner Johnson asked how many lots there were now. Jim Mehta said they lost seven lots in the redesign of the retention pond system and the total was now 249. Mayor Ison asked City Engineer Kelley how much time he needed to review the new plans. Mr. Kelley said it would be at least a week or two. John Sundheim, Division Vice President for U.S. Homes, said he was not asking the Commission for final approval but a conceptual approval indicating that the plans were moving in the right direction. Mayor Ison asked Mr. Sundheim how he felt about entering into a bond agreement. Mr. Sundheim said he did not like the idea. Mr. Sundheim requested an individual meeting with the Mayor and Commissioners to get some direction and to discuss several points that were presented earlier as concerns, but not discussed tonight.
