Meet ing WD,2 called to at'der by Pres idem of C ounc i1 B. A. M:inor The following councilmen were present: B.A. Minor, C. H. Pounds, J. M. Argo and E. L. Griffin. The minut'es of the meetings held March 2nd, 16th and 17th, 1925 were read affid approved. The Pres ident of the Council read a Je t t er from E. L. Griffin tendering his resignation as Alderman which is attached hereto and made a part of these minutes, moti on was regularly made by J. .M. Argo Wld seconded by C. H. Pounds and unanimous]y C& ried that same be accepted. Motion was made by J. M. Argo and seconded by C. J. Farmer and car rie d that F. H. 1Jaguire be olecte d to fill the unexpinid term of E. L. Griffin. . The President of the Council also read a letter from R. A. Hewis tendering his, resignation ae Marshall of the Tmwd of OCDee which is attached herepo and made a part of thEse minutes, whereupon motion was made by J. M. Argo and seconded by'C. H. Pounds andunRnimously carrie d that same be accepted. Motion by J. M. Argo and seconded ~y C. H. POUnlS that C. L. Click be elected to fill the vacancy c~used Hi the~rBs1gnation of R. A. Rewis. Mot ion was made by J. M. Argo a nl seconded by C. H.' Pounds that the Clerk issue check to R. A. Rewis for $187.50 covering his salary to date. Other bills ordered paid as fo llows: N. T. Mayor, / and ' Pres. of Council, I beg to tender herewith my resignation as Marshall of the Town of Ocoee, Ocoee, Fla., due to other business matters which I cannot be in position to give the matter the attention that it should have, and will thank you to please give the matter your immediate attention in accepting same, as I desire for same to become effective immediately. I wish to assure you that it has been a pleasue to be associated with you in the past, and also 'wish to say that if I can be of any furt- her servjce to you in the future, I shall consider it a pleasure i~ you will please call on me. Gentlemen;- .~ I beg to tender herewith my resignation as a member of the Town council of the Town of Ocoee, but as I am forced to change my resignnce to another City" and having sold my resigence in the Town of Ocoee, I feel it my duty at this time to offer my resignation to your Honorable body effective immediately. It is with regret that I am forced to recign from my position on your Council, as I wish to assure you that it has been a pleasure to me in the past in having been associated with the congenial, and broad-minded members which conpose the City Council of the Town of Ocoee, and I can onmy wish you all the best of success in the upbuild- ing of the City of Ocoee.
