GOOD OHUROHES HIGH SOHOOL FINE LAX ItS TWO RAILROADS MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL,HELD DECEMBER 3rd, 1928. Called to order by President of the Council--J. J. Robertson, with the following members answering rol~-call: J. M. Argo and C. F. Fain. Absent: R. D. Slone and L. C. Bobo. Mayor---Clerk and Marshal present. Also several citizens. ~inutes read and approved. Complaint was stated by C. F. Fain in regard to condition of drainage ditch near Rewis rent houses---east end of said ditch being partial- ly closed by sand washing in. ,Street Committee was empowered by the Council to investigate this complaint and if it was found to be a just one and an emergency, to remedy same. Letter from State Board of Health in regard to water supply of City, yI read and discussed. State Board of Health stated that there seemed to be no serious contamination of this water---and aske~ for further sam"les to be analized. Mayor Minor also reported approximately ~e same thing from Orlando Water Department. ,.. ~ Clerk instructed to order 50 dog tags at $3. from H. & W. B. Drew Co. · for the year 1929. Bills referred to Mayor Minor by Council at previous meeting: Bill of Boyd Wilson for ~f6. was tabled, as was also the bill of F. H. Bart- lett for $lOe. both being for night watchman service, and both be- ing O. K.'d by Mayor. Council refused to consider them until a full council and further evidence could be secured. Aill from J. i,'. Grafton for supplie s used by J. B. McCrary Co. during the paving program: Mayor said this bill had never been II Approvedfl by McCrary Co., hence he had never paid same. Clerk requested to write Mr. Grafton for itemized account o~ this bill. Night Watchman for Ocoee---including Chase & Co. packing house, was suggested by Mayor Minor. This question wae _tab,led by vote of the Council for at least the time that Chase 8:: Co. maintain a man on the job. In the discussion it was brought out that Chase 8 Co. real- ly had no packing house in Ocor.e---that it was the property of the Seaboard Air Line Ry. J. ~. Argo was requestacto ascertain from Winter Garden what they charged for occupation license on fertilizer warehouses---this was brought about by complaint of A. A. C. Co. that Ocoee charged double what other tm'iI1S were charging. L- '~'Mr. Argo was also instructed to find out and report as to the \yI American Express Co. paying a license for each separate express office maintained in a town.
