Minutes of a regular Meeting of City Council held January 17th 1938
Meeting oalled to order by Chairman at 1:30 P. M.
All members present, Mayor and Clerk present.
Minutes of last meeting read ana approved.
Mr. Ford moved and second Mr.. Windham to pay bills as follows:
Iserman & Co, .75~; L. C. Conard. $9.15; Florida Publio Service
Company $1.50; Florida public sergioe Co, $24.00; W. H. Wurst agent
$20.90.
Mr. Graves moved and second 1~. Ford to have Clerk to buy in Tax
Certifioated on Gano prgperty. amount of taxes $4.34
Mr. Graves moved and seoond Mr. Windham that Clerk and Chairman see
Mr. Kemp as to prioe of three bonds whioh he holds.
Mr. Windham moved and seoond Mr. Ford that Mayor be given full
authority and support of COllnoil to prooeed to correct the oondition
now exist on the MllrWin lot.
COllnoil brought up matter of new Marshall. Council llsed method of
seoret balloting for voting. Clerk read names of applications for the
position, after whioh eaoh member of Counoil was supplied with paper
for voting. Counting of votes gave Mr. E. E. Humphries the majority
vote. Clerk was instruoted to notify Mr. Humphries to begin February 1st,
and he is to be retained subjeot to the satisfaotion of COllncil.
Mr. Pounds moved and seoond Mr. Graves to have Clerk lIB ke up all
neoessary and proper papers to get new W. P. A. building just Com-
pleted in the hands of the Womans' Club.
There being no further bllsiness, Counoil adjorned at 9:35 P. M.
