Minutes of a regular meeting of the City Council held April 4th 1938
Meeting called to order by Chairman at 7~40 P. M.
All members present. 1i1ayor Clerk and Marshall present.
Minutes of last meeting read and approved.
Mr. Graves moved and second Mr. Ford to pay bills as follows:
H. O. Pllrdy .75~; D. W. Mitohell $3.15; E. B. Brown $7.32; Iserman
and Co $6.65; R. A. Kerr $2.64
ulerk reports balanoe of taxes are paid by the Marshall Investment Co
through 1937 on the Marshall Blook in Hlakley'sSubdivision. Letter
read from Mrs. Marshall asking that assessment be lowered from ~17.500.
to $10,000, after disollssion, Mr. Eounds moved second Mr. Graves to
redlloe the assessment to that figllre.
Mrs. Butt of Orlando preuent to take up the matter of oollecting taxes,
after a leggthly disoussion. Counoil asked that she have contract made
up and have our Attorney inspeot it and advise llS his decision, Council
deoided to have speoial meeting Thursday night April 7th for approval or
disapproval. .
Mr. Windham moved and second Mr. Graves to have Mayor and Clerk to sign
oontraot with R. A. Kerr acoepting proposition made the City.
Mr. Graves moved and seoond Mr. Ford to allow $3.00 off Mrs. R. J. Aerr
water bill for the storeing of the model liT- truok in her garage.
Clerk was instruoted to see Mr. Beltz about fixing lcaks arOllnd window
and other leaks that might be showing up.
There being no further business, Council stood adjorned at 10:15 P. M.
