A SPEOIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNOIL HELD NOVEMBER 28TH 1938.
OALLED FOR THE PURPOSE OF DISCUSSING. THE BASIS ON WHICH THE TAX-
PAYERS KAY IPAY ALL DELINQUENT TAXES AND ASSESSMENTS. AT 7:30 P.M.

at the sohool, Mr. E. A. Mnrray, Mayor, stated for what purpose
this speoial meeting was 0811ed, 8nd asked that a Chairman be ap-
pointed, ~. R. M. Johnston was noainated 8S Chairman, being pnt
to a Tote, Dr. Johnston was eleoted Chairman nnsnimously. Then is
was mOTed that W. H. Wurst be appointed Seoretary. Voted and oarried

Mr. R. C. Bigelow moved and seoond Mr. tt. A. Rewis that the oounoil
be asked to allow the taxpayers to pay their taxes and assessments at
the rate of 30 oents on the dollar; DISCUSSION.

Mr. E. A. Murray, Mayor. explained just what the Crwnmer people was
wanting the Counoil to agree.'to before the would be present at 8ny of
the meeting to be held out here, Mr. Bigelow had one of the stipulations
after reading the stipulation, it was mutually agreed not to sign.

and assessmen~s was put to a vote, 29 stood in favor of payimg on that
basis, No one stood for oposing the besis. Mr. Murray asked that the
Oity offioials not be asked or requested ~o vote in this oonneotion.
Mr. Bigelow moved and seoond Mr. Rewis that the same Committee that
met wi~h Mr. Lasseter before, be reguested to a8Bin meet with htm to
disouss a refunding program. There were fo~ Oitizens added to the
Oommittee, namely; Dr. R. M. Johsston; Mr. L. L. Dudley; Mr. Ohas. Fain;
and Mr. S. D. West
Mr. Dndley movedn and seoond Mr. ~ryan that the Clerk get in touoh with
I Mr. Lasseter to make an appointment, and advise as to the findings.
Mr. 8. J. Wilder moved and seoond Mr. Bryan that if Mr. Lasseter or a
representative of his offioe be present at the next regular Counoil
