Minutes of a regular meeting of the City Oounoil held January 15th 1940.
Meeting oalled to order by Chairnan at 7:30 P. M.
All members present, Mayor and Clerk present.
Minutes of last meeting read and approved.
Mr. Argo moved and second Mr. Graves to pay Me. Beltz $6.44 for repairs
to jail and oredit amount of water bill of Mr. Beltz on old bill, his
water rent being $12.58, voted and carried.
Mr. Argo moved seoond Mr. Graves to pay $1.60 to Mr. C. H. ~ounds for
thread far sewing room.voted and carried
Mr. Argo moved and second Mr. Bryan to pay State Bank of Apopka '30.00
to apply on truok: note. voted and carried
Mr. Argo moved seoond Mr. Graves to pay the ourrent bills to Florida
Public Servioe Oompany, being $36.25 for pwmping, $12.50 street lights
and $2.14 for Oounoil room lights~ voted and oarried.
Mr. Graves movea and second Mr. Bryan to pay W. H. Wurst Agent $16.40
for fire insuranoe on City Hall Building, voted and oarried.
Mr. Argo moved seoond Mr. Bryan to have Mr. Harris to clarify 1hiS bill
of $25.00 for stenographer work, on what oases were briught.
Letter read from Arthur Hack in connection with a bond and ooupons of
a client of his, and set forth the conditions of Oooee.
Mr. Argo moved seoond Mr. Kerr that the Clerk be instructed to comply
with letter from Crummer & Company in reoording partial rease of Judgment
in the U. S. gederal Courts at Tampa. voted and carried.
Mr. Graves and Mr. Bryan was appointed by Counoil as a oommittee to
investiga*e and reooommend as to what and who the materials are left at
Trailer oamp belongs
Mr. Argo moved seoond Mr. Bryan to adopt letter prepared and read, and
have Clerk to use it and write letter to each water oustomer delinquent.
Mr. Argo moved and seoond Mr. Kerr that the vity make out Warranty ~eed
to G. S. Moore on the Mollie miller property and deliver to Mr. Moore
upon the payment of ~l31.45, voted and oarried.
ffi. Argo moved second Mr. Kerr that Clerk advise the Attorneys Wiley &
Warren at st. Petersburg that no levy bad been made for the Howell
Judgment, and that Oity Attorney did not advise en d see that the Counoil
made suoh levy as presoribed of Judge Smiths Court.
Mr. Argo moved seoond Mr. Bryan that the Mayor be instructed to sign
papers and proposition for the beading project.
Mr. Argo moved seoond Mr. Graves that Mayor be allowed mileage to Orlando
to find out from Tax Collector the amount oan be oollected for beer and
wine license. voted and oarried.
