Minutes of a regular meeting of the City Counoil held !~y 1st 1939
Meeting called to order at 7:45 P. M.
All members present except Mr. Kerr. Mayor and Clerk present.

C14rk read ordinance prepared b~ the Southern Bell Telephone
& Telegraph Uompany of Orlando, Counoil instructed Clerk to see
City Attorney as passing the Ordinaone, and especially for a
period of thirty years as stated therein, voted and oarried.
Mr. Allen was asked by members pf the Womans' Club about a lower
water rate for the purpose of setting flowers on streets between
sidewalks and street. Council set a Dew rate to those properties
that Womans' Club set flowers at $1.25 for first 3000 gallons,
.25~ per thousand for next 2000 gallons and Il5~ per thousand all
over 5000 gallons per month.
Mr. A~ M. Clarke present" to ask Council join the ilorida Citrus
Growers Association, Inc., Mr. Graves moved and second Mr. Windham
to have the City to join. dues beiDg $10.00 per year, from May 1st
1939 to May 1st 1940. voted and carried.
There being no further busuness, Council adjorned at 8:30 P. M.
