Minutes of a regtlla.r meeting of the City Council held October 16th 1939
Meeting called to order by Vice-Chairman Mr Ford at 7:30 P. M.
All members present except Mr. Pounds
Minutes of last meeting read and approved.
Letter read from 0rumrr,er & Com;e.ny dated October 11th 1939, also
letter from ~ttorney General Gibbs.
Mr. Geo. A. Barker Jr. and Mr. Bigelow present in connection with
bill board question of taking it down, since the measurement of 2l~
feet of the board iX~ on City property did not seem correct, the
Council agreed to have it measured for correctness. Mr. Barker assuyed
the CouDcil that it Will be adjusted entirely satisfactorily if he is
gmven permission to finish taking it away.

The question of cars parking on either side of the street at the school
foot ball field was discussed. it was agreed that this matter would be
investigated. '
Mr. Tillis, Railroad section foreman asked that it be taken up at a
meeting to see if the Council would withdraw the flagging of each
crossing before the approaching trains. Council agreed to let Ordinance
stand as it is.
There being no further business, Mr. Graves second Mr. Kerr to adjorn
at 9:,00 P. M.
