GRAVES E. J. KERR Minutes of a regular meeting of the Oity Council held ~eptember 16th 1940. Meeting called to order at 8=00 P. M. Members pr~sent; Argo, Bryan and Graves; Members absent, Kerr and Pounds. Mayor and liJ.erk present. Minutes of last regular meeting of ueptember 3rd read and approved, Voted and carried. Ohairman Pounds and Vice-Chairman Kerr being absent, Mr. M. C. Bryan acted as ~ Chairman. Mr. Argo moved second Mr. Graves to approve the $48.95 paid out of cash for the following purposes; Fire dept $2.64; Street dept $21.90; Water dept $22.16; Office expense for postage stamps and light bul~ ~2.25, With the request that these bills be passed op each month. voted and carried. Mr. Argo moved second Mr. Graves to pay j!'lorida Pp.b1ic Service Co $21.30 for pump bill; $12.50 for street lights and $1.50 for 00uncil room lights. AlSO $3. '75 for telephone rent for August. voted and carried. Counoil discussed the matter of putting water pipes down to Mrs. Ida Hunter Property. Council agreed to l~ok into this and report at next meeting. Council instructed Clerk to send bill to the tichool for the three summer months at $5.00 per month, voted and carried. Mr. Argo moved second Mr. Graves that the Marshal comply With ordinance where thos e who have not paid wat er rent in accordance with mot ion of last meeting. meaning to curt of service until old water bill has been paid in full. Voted and carried. --- ! nir. Argo moved second Mr. Graves that an ordinance entitle~ SAn ordinance appropriating and allocating all revenue and funds of the Vity of Ocoee, Florida, for the year beginning on November 1, 1939, and ending October 31, 1940"be and is hereby approved and adopted as read. Voted and (;arried. ------ Mr. Argo moved second Mr. ~raves to allow Mr. Williams to place his gas tank at the old Hlue Goose packing house on City property, voted and carried. Mr. ~rgo moved second Mr. Graves that to l1..a.ve Mr. O~ R. Williams of the Williams Chevrolet Company give the City Credit of $,10.00 on note due his company of $82.21. voted and carried. this waB in connection with one of his men Mr. Goleman being fined. Mr. Ar;o moved second Mr. Graves for the Clerk to open registration book for the purpose of registering those who have become qualified to register and vote in Gity election to be held November 5th 1940. v8ted and carried.
