Minutes of a regular meeting of 0ity Council held January 20, 1941
Meeting oalled to order by Vice-Chairman Mr. Bryan at 7:l5 P. M.
All members present except Mr. Bigelow. l~yor,Clerk and Marshal present.
Minutes of last regular meeting o~ January 6,was read and approved.
Mr. Argo moved seoond Mr. Eokles that the Clerk be instructed to adjust
bills with Mr. E. B. Brown, Voted and carried.
Mr. Minor moved second Mr. Eokles all ourrent bills totaling $84.65 as
follows: J. M. Argo $ll.25 for Counoilman Compensation, Florida Public
Servioe Co, $l.50 for council room lights, $l2.50 for street li~hts, and
$39.AO.for pumping bill, all to Jtmuary 2nd, 1941. W. H. Wurst ~20.00 being
balance due on advanced money for Audit of City books. Also to approve the
~ayment o~ $3.23 paid o~t for water department and $3.20 office expense, and
$26.00 for marshal salary to January l5, 1941. All voted and carried.
All oommunications read, some requireing the attention of the City Attorney.
Mr. Agro moved seoond Mr. Eckles that a oommittee go into Orlando and get
with Mr. Holland of the County road department, to examine machinery to
grade streets, voted and carried.
Mr. Argo moved second Mr. Eokles that Marshall to see kKtk the people in both
trailer oars to vacate and they be given six days to do so, voted & oarried.
Mr. Argo moved seoond Mr. Eokles that Mr. Bigelow be instructed to draft an
ordinanoe to proteot the fire department with respect to the blowing o~ fire
sirene when no fires exist, penalty not more than $500. nor less then $100.
or imprisonment for 90 days or both. voted and oarried.
Mr. trgo moved seo~nd Mr. Minor that Mr. ~okles be authorized to plug drain
wells at lake until lake rises. voted and oarried.
Mr. Agro moved seoond Mr. Eokles that the Clerk be instruoted to order 6
rebuilt meters from the Southern Meter and Repair Company for not more than
$6. to be shipped C. o. D. Voted and carried.
There being no further b~iness, Mr. Eckles moved second Mr. Argo to adjorn
at 9:36 P. M.
